Vietjet and Honeywell Aerospace Technologies have exchanged a US$1.1 billion cooperation agreement to provide avionics and aviation technical services for Vietjet’s fleet.<\/p>\n
The agreement, signed in the presence of Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and State President To Lam during his US visit, aims to modernise Vietjet’s fleet and reduce emissions.<\/p>\n
Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong said the agreement represents a new milestone in the airline’s partnership with Honeywell.<\/p>\n
“Vietjet is committed to driving sustainable growth and green transformation with the goals of emission reduction and intercontinental flight network expansion,” Mr Phuong said.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, Vietjet will implement Honeywell’s avionics and APU maintenance programs on its new-generation wide-body A330neo and new narrow-body aircraft.<\/p>\n
The deal also includes Honeywell Flight Efficiency, a solution to provide emission reduction and fuel-efficiency monitoring across Vietjet’s entire fleet.<\/p>\n
Joseph Vitulli, representative of Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about expanding collaboration with Vietjet.<\/p>\n
“We have consistently succeeded in developing and implementing solutions to reduce carbon footprints, enabling airlines to optimise fuel consumption by analysing aircraft performance and sharing best practices across their operations,” Mr Vitulli said.<\/p>\n
Vietjet, which has a 7\/7-star safety rating from AirlineRatings, aims to enhance its technical reliability rate of 99.6% through this partnership.<\/p>\n
