Global air transport technology provider SITA has appointed Nathalie Altwegg as Senior Vice President of its Airports business unit.<\/p>\n
Altwegg will oversee SITA’s expansion plans across more than 1,000 airports worldwide.<\/p>\n
The appointment aims to accelerate the digitisation of airport operations and passenger journeys.<\/p>\n
SITA CEO David Lavorel welcomed Altwegg’s expertise.<\/p>\n
“It’s wonderful to be welcoming Nathalie to the executive team as a hugely experienced SITA expert with great insights into how to take our Airports business forward,” Lavorel said.<\/p>\n
Altwegg joins the role after serving as Chief Operating Officer for SITA Europe.<\/p>\n
She brings over 20 years of aviation industry experience including expertise in mergers and acquisitions and IT outsourcing.<\/p>\n
“We’re bringing great changes as we reinvent journeys and processes to deliver the ultimate travel experience with the most advanced, efficient and sustainable technologies,” Altwegg said.<\/p>\n
Her appointment comes as airports increase technology investment to modernise operations.<\/p>\n
