{"id":97021,"date":"2024-10-29T11:40:23","date_gmt":"2024-10-29T00:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldofaviation.com\/?p=97021"},"modified":"2024-10-30T04:41:56","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T17:41:56","slug":"emirates-relaunches-daily-adelaide-service-after-pandemic-pause","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldofaviation.com\/2024\/10\/emirates-relaunches-daily-adelaide-service-after-pandemic-pause\/","title":{"rendered":"Emirates relaunches daily Adelaide service after pandemic pause"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emirates has resumed daily flights between Adelaide and Dubai, offering more than 220,000 passenger seats annually on the route.<\/p>\n<p>The South Australian Tourism Commission estimates the service will generate $62 million in tourism spending and create 315 full-time jobs.<\/p>\n<p>South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas welcomed the airline&#8217;s return.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re not just welcoming back a world-class airline; we&#8217;re re-opening South Australia&#8217;s doors to the world, showcasing our beautiful state to over 220,000 potential visitors each year,&#8221; Malinauskas said.<\/p>\n<p>The Boeing 777-200LR service offers 302 seats across two classes.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates&#8217; cargo operation will provide 196 tonnes of weekly freight capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates Executive Vice President Nabil Sultan highlighted Australia&#8217;s importance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Australia remains a priority market for Emirates and one that we have been deeply committed to for nearly three decades,&#8221; Sultan said.<\/p>\n<p>The airline now operates 70 weekly flights to five Australian cities.<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide Airport Managing Director Brenton Cox said the service would boost tourism and trade.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates flight EK440 departs Dubai at 02:00, arriving in Adelaide at 20:50.<\/p>\n<p>The return flight EK441 departs Adelaide at 22:40, arriving in Dubai at 05:20.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates will restore its second daily Perth service on December 1, returning to pre-pandemic Australian capacity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emirates has resumed daily flights between Adelaide and Dubai, offering more than 220,000 passenger seats annually on the route.
