The air charter industry has responded to multiple humanitarian emergencies in 2024, providing critical aid and evacuation services across several continents.<\/p>\n
Air Charter Service’s Director Ben Dinsdale said the sector had united to address numerous disasters and conflicts.<\/p>\n
“The industry has been called into action multiple times this year, all around the globe, to facilitate charters into disaster-stricken regions,” he said.<\/p>\n
Major operations included responding to a devastating landslide in Papua New Guinea, record floods in Brazil affecting 580,000 people, and Hurricane Beryl’s impact across the Caribbean.<\/p>\n
The company coordinated over 20 cargo flights delivering 600 tons of aid to Lebanon following recent invasion, alongside 30 evacuation flights.<\/p>\n
Operations in Sudan involved multiple charters to Port Sudan and Ndjamena carrying aid from Pakistan and the UAE.<\/p>\n
Dinsdale highlighted the industry’s collaborative approach to crisis response.<\/p>\n
“It is the time that the aircraft charter community really pulls together \u2013 in such situations, multiple skillsets are required, from a range of professionals all over the globe,” he said.<\/p>\n
The industry also provided support during Haiti’s civil collapse and ongoing conflicts in Sudan, delivering shelter equipment to displaced populations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
